When I cook for groups the most important things to me are:
 
Creating delicious and beautiful fresh food to nourish body and soul. SLOW food – that the preparation is done with love, care, and intent. Aligning with the seasons and local availability in menu planning. Sourcing the food sustainably, ideally from local farmers as much as possible. Making as much as possible by hand, with local recipes, including fermenting, pickling, condiments and breads.
 
I love to make plant based menus, or vegetarian, or pesco-vegetarian, catering to the dietary needs of the group, be it gluten free, nut free, or allergies.
 
For me this work is an offering from my soul, and I really love doing it, so so much.
 
I often cater gatherings on Denman Island, including Seedy Saturday, Apple Fest, Creative Threads Conspiracy, and music events that happen at the hall.  These are anywhere from 20-150 people usually.  I also catered gourmet meals for a BnB on the island; cooking exquisite multi-course meals for 2-4 people.
